When we moved into our home, we did not have a large dining room set. As time went by, I began to want something rectangular that could seat at least six people. I found it up for auction! Of course, it would need to be completely redone. Here is what I found and eventually won for $60, give or take.
In my mind, I wanted something comfortable and unique. Table and chair frames were primed and painted in white. For the seat upholstery, denim came to mind and I had several pairs of faded and worn blue jeans from my husband (I don't like to throw things out). I measured out the seat dimensions and began to cut strips of denim. I sewed the strips together and covered the seats. I am very pleased with the way it turned out.
